Embracing diversity is a core value at Sutton Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia. Its 1,633 students divide evenly among Black, Latino, and White students. Almost one-third of students live in low-income families and nearly one-fifth are learning to speak English. Meanwhile, the teaching staff includes educators from five different continents.
